If necessary, submit a study amendment to your local ethics / institutional review board to include human ISCIB specimens in the proposed research project. Complete the ISCIB Biospecimen Request Form provided by the ISCIB Program Manager and await review by the Operational and Scientific Access Committee (OSAC). This review generally takes 3-4 weeks, or longer if amendments are requested by OSAC. If approved by OSAC, a Material Transfer Agreement template is reviewed and executed between institutions. Once the MTA is executed and biosafety information is exchanged, an initial test shipment of up to ten (10) specimens is released to your lab for piloting your experimental procedures using ISCIB’s human materials. Pilot data is returned to the ISCIB Program Manager and reviewed before the remainder of your request can be released. Note: In order to track ISCIB’s key performance indicators, recipients must notify the ISCIB Program Manager of all publications and presentations resulting from the use of the Material and Data before they are released publicly. For publications and presentations, the following acknowledgement must be included: “The authors gratefully acknowledge the International Spinal Cord Injury Biobank (ISCIB) for generously providing
